Collecting your cake

Pick up times are scheduled a few days prior. We are happy to accommodate a pick up time that suits you, however we ask that you arrive on time as we have many other pick ups and deliveries on the day.

All pick ups are from Gawler East, 5118.

Duo Cake Design is not responsible for any damages done to the cake once it has left our premises. 

We offer delivery, please enquire regarding a fee depending on location. Delivery is recommended for all wedding cakes and larger tiered cakes.

Please ensure you have enough space in the front passenger's footwell or boot to safely transport your cake. If you bring a companion to collect the cake they can safely rest it on their lap however it is not recommended for the cake to be placed on a car seat.

Air con is recommended to keep the cake cool during transport.

As our cakes are covered in a swiss meringue buttercream the cake needs to be stored in the refrigerator until your event begins where it can then be placed on display and come to room temperature for a couple of hours.

When displaying your cake it is recommended to be placed on a flat surface, out of direct sunlight and preferably in a cool room (especially on hot weathered days)

Our cakes are placed on cake boards at least 2"-3" wider then the cake (unless a smaller board is requested for a cake stand). They are then placed in a box the same size as the board. 

It is advised that when carrying your cake you carry it from the bottom not the sides of the box as they are flimsy and can indent and damage your cake.
